The 3,000 square foot space that is the Telus In-novation Centre is one of many projects completed by Govan Brown for Telus. For this space, Telus desired a state-of-the-art innovation centre where merchandise and services could be showcased to potential customers and clients. It was important for the design of the innovation centre to integrate the new technology it was advertising. For example, greeting customers is a
massive 103” plasma screen TV on the wall. Other aesthetic design elements are visible in the luminous reception area, high-end millwork, priva-lite glazing panels, glass office fronts and polished concrete columns. Other areas focused on were the staff kitchen and the state-of-the-art meeting room which was complete with advanced AV systems. Our team was able to successfully complete the project despite the
lack of existing plumbing and mechanical connections. Although the majority of those systems had to be retrofitted, the job was completed on schedule. Telus and Govan Brown have maintained a long-standing, working relationship and it continues to strengthen with each project.
