Govan Brown and public relations firm, Edelman have partnered on many projects in the past. In 2011, Edelman retained the construction management services of Govan Brown once again to renovate their new Calgary location. Located in 8 West Tower, the new space comprises of 2,650 square feet and occupies a single floor. The scope of the Edelman project was extensive as all electrical and mechanical systems as well as aesthetic features had to be installed or upgraded. Areas worked on include an employee lounge, boardrooms, reception area, a kitchen, new computer  room,  open  workstations  and closed

offices. The design intent for all of these spaces was uniform; Edelman desired a sleek and modern streamlined aesthetic that would tie the entire space together. Cosmetic details included multi-colored millwork, frameless glazing, suspended staggered strip light fixtures, combination of drywall and T-bar ceilings, multi-colored wood ceiling accents and decorative flat screen television monitors. The space also contained unique mechanical features including, electrical floor power outlets and radiant panel heating. Along with all of these unique details, Edelman requested  that  we finish  the IT room two weeks in advance

of the delineated construction deadline. This is often the case for many projects as organizations often wish for their computer rooms to be fully prepared by the time the client’s actual move-in date arrives. After just two months of construction, our team was able to fully renovate our client’s space into a world-class office. We are proud of our partnership with an esteemed company like Edelman and enjoy working and collaborating with them..
