Since Telus Mobility’s tenancy began at 300 Consilium, they have expanded into adjacent spaces to accommodate their growing staff. In 2006, Telus Mobility acquired our services to renovate five floors of their Scarborough offices. The 4th, 13th, 14th,15th and 16th floors comprised a total area of 80,000 square feet and were phased and completed in order to accommodate an aggressive four-week schedule for each floor. Govan Brown’s goal for the renovation was to create a space indicative of Telus’ esteemed stature

while maintaining a clean and quiet site that did not disrupt  the occupied areas of the building. As mentioned above, the entire project took place while the building remained occupied. It was of utmost importance to ensure that all work areas remained tidy throughout the construction process, especially all public entry points. To avoid disturb-ing the staff, the majority of work was completed in the evenings and on weekends. Furthermore, we maintained all security   requirements  by using a temporary locking system

while awaiting the delivery of the permanent mag locks. Our team was very proud of their accomplish-ments during the Telus Mobility project. They were able to complete the project within the aggressive schedule limits and were able to circumvent troublesome issues because of active planning, organization and foresight.
