For their new offices, SAS Software retained Govan Brown to fit-out an 8th floor space in Calgary’s new Centre Ten Tower. SAS is an industry leader in computer analytics and programming and required a complete office fit-out from base building state. The 17,000 square foot space was sophisticatedly designed and required construction to be completed in an aggressive 10 week schedule. The SAS space was designed to be a professional open work area with a sophisticated atmosphere. However, to accomplish this goal our team had to navigate many challenges. The office’s mechanical and plumbing installations were

a difficulty because we needed to access our neighboring tenant’s space below to install the appropriate lines. To accomplish this goal, our team coordinated carefully with the building team from the space below and the base building landlord to organize a schedule that would work for all parties involved. Our team’s ability to navigate future obstacles was evident in the pre-construction phase where we identified and procured long-lead items such as carpet and light fixtures to avoid extending the construction schedule. One of such lead items was the very aesthetically-forward back panelled glass wall in the 

reception area. Aesthetic  details  of  a similar nature are present throughout the office. Elements such as LED lighting, curved partition graphic walls and detailed bulkheads decorate the office. Although our team was challenged with an aggressive schedule, they were able to complete this fit-out on time. Our prompt completion of the project space saved our client money as they did not have to extend their previous lease. Our team was happy to complete SAS’ office to their specifications without incurring any extra costs.
