Downtown Vancouver’s Royal Centre has retained the services of our Govan Brown West team to provide base-building services on four of their floors. Comprising of roughly 30,458 square feet, the scope of our work encompasses asbestos abatement of the  4th,  8th  and  9th  floors  of  the towers. Furthermore, we were retained to complete a remodel of the 4th, 8th, 9th and 21st floor bathrooms. To complete this compre-

hensive asbestos abatement, much of the space on all three floors had to be demolished before the abatement process could begin. Of the three floors, only a single floor was occupied while the other two were vacant. We took extreme care while completing abatement work on the occupied floor and diligently scheduled the work to be completed afterhours. Meanwhile the bathrooms on the floors receiving the

asbestos treatment were also remodeled with new finishes and plumbing. Meanwhile, the 21st floor bathroom remodel included minor demolition and asbestos abatement. The work on this washroom was done on an occupied floor, but thanks to its position in an enclosed stairwell, we were able to completely hoard the area and finish the work without disturbing the tenants.
