Located in downtown Edmonton's Kingsway Mall is the site of the newly, Govan Brown-built, Rogers Store.  We were retained by Rogers to conduct a new, modern fit-up of a 1,200 square foot unit that would fit the streamlined Rogers aesthetic.  The project required that we construct the space in an aggressive 12 week schedule without disturbing the surrounding tenants and shoppers. The short construction schedule required that we identify the necessary long-lead items in  the pre-construction  phase. Both LED light strips and back-

lit storefront signage were ordered well in advance as they required 10 weeks for delivery, while the millwork required a 12-week delivery time.  The minimalist aesthetic mandated specialty design elements.  Modern finishes including steel, aluminum storefront columns, tile flooring and LED strip lights all encompassed the design intent of our project.  Mechanically, the project required an extensive electrical focus.  Floor boxes with data storage capabilities  were  installed into the floor and all new

lighting systems were installed.  Additionally, all new ductwork was installed along with a new drop drywall ceiling to cover the mechanical features. Rogers and Govan Brown have worked on several projects together and have maintained a productive relationship thanks to our mutual excellence in our respective fields.  We are proud to have delivered a successful project to Rogers on time and under budget.
