In 2013, Govan Brown was retained by Oxford to refresh four floors of their parkade lobby areas. The space, located in Centennial Place, was an occupied project. The overall goal of our client was to update their lobbies to modern standards and aesthetics. The elevator lobbies required extensive work. To accelerate the schedule, we decided to construct all areas  simultaneously. To  avoid congestion and disturbing the

tenants of the building, most work was done after hours and on weekends. The project scope included installing all new monitors, lighting and wall coverings. The electrical work was extensive and as such the majority of the AV systems and lighting fixtures were ordered well in advance to avoid installation conflicts. The painting done in the lobby  matched  the aesthetic  created by the wood panelling through the lobbies.

The cohesive  atmosphere of  all  four lobbies projects a sophistication that the rest of the building embodies. Govan Brown completed the refresh program in March of 2014 much to the delight of our client. We were able to complete the project on time and on budget despite having to make late change orders.
