In 2014, our much sought after service department was retained by GWL Realty Advisors to perform a security upgrade in their offices located in downtown Toronto’s Commerce Court Complex. The scope consisted of upgrading all the entrance security for all of GWL riser rooms. This entailed removing all panels in those rooms and relocating them in CIBC’s LAN rooms. The riser rooms were then outfitted with all new power supplies and security equipment. New cabinets were

installed. To accommodate the controllers; new conduit was installed to the existing door locations and new cabling was installed. The construction progressed floor-by-floor, and each door was re-connected to the new controller and power supplies in the LAN rooms. Included in the  construction  was  the installation of 34 new controllers, 34 power strikes, 36 magnetic locks and new cabinets for the controllers. Apart of the construction process was our application and retention

of a magnetic lock permit which we arranged for in the  preconstruction phase as to avoid road blocks later in the construction process. The project was completed entirely afterhours on account of the building being occupied at the time of construction. As such we managed to not only finish the project on time, but also managed to avoid disturbing the day-to-day operations of any tenants.
