After Govan Brown had successfully completed the CIBC Emerald branch project in Sherwood Park, we were once again retained by CIBC to complete the Albany project in the northwest end of Edmonton. Similar to the Emerald branch, the Albany project was a complete tenant fit-out of a recently completed base-building. The project consisted of constructing a whole new branch  from  a  base-building shell.  The goal of the client was to create a space that reflected

the modern design intent of CIBC and its locations. As such, the aesthetic of the building followed suit from other CIBC branches. Details included drywall ceilings, glass partitions, open workstations, closed offices, recess lighting, full height doors and walls. Considering the level of protection required for a bank, we installed a whole new security system  along  with a fire-rated  computer room.  We were also put in charge of all duct work, HVAC  systems and installation of rooftop air

handling units. The project was a success and our team managed to complete the project on schedule and under budget. CIBC has been a valued client of Govan Brown.  We have completed dozens of projects and program work for CIBC over the years.
