In 2008, Engineering Consultants Amec NSS retained Govan Brown to plan, design and construct their interior fit-out. Located in close proximity of their old building, the newly leased 34,500 square foot space was renovated with the purpose of creating a fully modernized office for an ever increasing staff. The new Amec offices, which were being built a small distance  away  from their old  space, were close enough that we were able to create a fibre link between locations. This

was a tremendous advantage for our team when constructing the 500 square foot IT server room, completed in partnership with Cesmic Engineering. Included in the construction of this specialized server room were CRAC units, remote RTUs, pre-action systems and cooling for the room. Other facilities built into the newly leased space include a new  reception area,  open  workstations,  boardrooms, training rooms, private offices and a kitchen with an accompanying

cafeteria. The maj-ority of these partitions were created by innovative Brigholme wall systems and elegant glass office fronts. The goal of every Govan Brown project is to satisfy the client. We are proud to recognize our own success in fitting-out the new Amec space and creating a new home that they could be proud of.
